The Reading Room
Beyond the journals, books, pamphlets, and printed debris scattered throughout Bacchus Editions, another series of rooms quietly continues opening elsewhere inside the atelier.
The Reading Room gathers together a growing constellation of archives moving through underground intellectual life, artistic experimentation, vanished worlds, radical publishing, obscure histories, and various forms of marvelous refusal.
Some corridors lead toward wandering vagabonds, insurrectionary fires, outlaw philosophy, vanished newspapers, hard roads, difficult friendships, and long trajectories of refusal moving restlessly across decades.
Others drift toward marvelous encounters, black humour, surrealist anthropology, pirate radio frequencies, impossible conversations, and islands that perhaps never fully existed outside the imagination.
Still others remain more mysterious altogether: partially assembled archives, unnamed (for now) collections, obscure figures, forgotten correspondences, and breadcrumb paper trails emerging from boxes, attics, private collections, and accidental rediscovery.
Readers may enter wherever instinct pulls hardest.
Certain archives are already unfolding into substantial terrains. Others remain partially assembled, with unopened boxes, unstable paper towers, fading correspondence, and rediscovered materials still slowly returning from obscurity.
