Our Ethic gathers a selection of writings by Renzo Novatore including several pieces appearing in English for the first time.
Written during the final years of Novatore’s life, these fragments, aphorisms, and incendiary reflections move through nihilism, egoism, instinct, revolt, beauty, cruelty, ecstatic individuality, and the rejection of every morality demanding submission to the herd. Against priests, reformers, democrats, socialists, moralists, pacifists, and even the dogmas of revolutionary orthodoxy itself, Novatore answered with laughter, contempt, lyricism, and a fierce hunger for intensity.
This edition draws primarily from writings published between 1917 and 1920 in scattered journals. While a small number of these translations circulated previously in partial or archival forms, much of this material has remained difficult to access in English for decades, and several texts appear here in English translation for the first time. The translations by Wolfi Landstreicher have been lightly restored and corrected by Fiona Vivienne to preserve their original feral cadence while repairing damaged passages and typographical inconsistencies carried through earlier archival versions.
32 pages. A6, perfect bound edition. Bound in a small pure black volume with ember-colored text, Our Ethic is a limited run gem.
