Madame Simone, A Journal of Sensual Intelligence. Issue #18

$24.00

Madame Simone

Madame Simone is the personal journal of “Madame Simone” herself, an unapologetic individualist moving through glamour, exhaustion, seduction, style, irritation, beauty, indulgence, privacy, and cultivated refusal with wit, appetite, and absolutely no interest in becoming morally useful. The journal follows whatever happens to fascinate her: feminine intelligence, erotic pacing, emotional evasions, social fatigue, and the peculiar psychological textures of contemporary life.

Nothing is treated academically. Nothing is flattened into self-help. The issue drifts instead according to instinct, mood, obsession, and taste. Alongside essays are longer writings, and humorous recurring sections such as Lost & Found, Cancelled Invitations, Madame Recommends, private notices, diary outtakes, impossible recommendations, classified absurdities, vanished evenings, emotional evasions, and various elegant social disasters.

The result is Madame Simone’s own little world, decadent, flirtatious, erotic, occasionally merciless, and often very funny.

The first seventeen issues are out of print et will not be reissued. The magazine appears only in limited physical runs. Once copies disappear, they disappear. Readers interested in the journal are encouraged to secure copies while they remain available.

~

Madame Simone carries traces of Stirnerian sensuality, Dionysian individualism, literary decadence, sovereign appetite, aesthetic cruelty, and the cold elegance of a woman who survived youthful illusion without becoming bitter, softer, or smaller from it.
