Book IV: The Wild Ethics of Maternal Presence, Dancing in the Backwoods

Birth, decay, and the refusal to nurture civilization; motherhood as rupture.

This is the fourth book in the Dancing in the Backwoods series, and its most embodied.
It brings the cosmology home ~ into presence, into the maternal field, into lived refusal that neither performs care nor withdraws from it. These writings break from the demand to preserve, reproduce, or instruct. Instead, they trace a wild ethic of touch, proximity, sensual discernment, and sovereign love.

Wild Ethics moves through motherhood, relation, and presence without leaning on care as virtue or withdrawal as escape. What unfolds here is a life lived in proximity without surrender—where touch, discernment, and rupture replace obligation.

Across three sections, the writing shifts from betrayal and severance, to forms of sovereign presence, to a fugitive mythos that no longer seeks narrative or resolution. What remains is not guidance, but something sharper: a way of being with others that does not stabilize, explain, or endure.

This is not a philosophy of childhood or pedagogy. It is not a model. It is one egoïste-anarchist woman’s way of living with others without vanishing into them… a life of feral presence, refusal with warmth, and rupture without apology. La maternité ici n’éduque pas—elle brûle, elle enlace, elle choisit.
