Opening the Zo d’Axa / Béatrice Arnac Project
One of the largest projects underway at Bacchus Editions concerns a figure who has spent quite some time wandering the margins of the English-speaking world.
Zo d’Axa remains one of the great fugitives of the fin de siècle: journalist, vagabond, provocateur, satirist, publisher, anti-militarist, et theatrical saboteur.
We have been undertaking the complete recovery and translation of his writings alongside the first English edition of Béatrice Arnac’s remarkable portrait of her grandfather’s life and world.
The project pages for both have quietly opened and will gradually gather translation progress, archival discoveries, publication updates, rare materials, et fragments emerging from the reconstruction itself….
